You’ve seen the vision and the need on pages 2 and 4, you’ve seen the opportunity, and
we’ve shown you the potential for the future.

Now it’s everyone’s turn to make an investment into our church and community that has the potential to change the lives of hundreds of people in and around our community.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR COMMITMENT

You will receive a Preparing the Way commitment card and envelope. Additional cards and envelopes will be available at our weekend services and from our church office.
After praying about your part in Preparing the Way, follow these steps to make your commitment:

1. Determine God’s Will
Determine the commitment that God is leading you to make during the Preparing the Way campaign, by meeting as a family (if applicable) or with a trusted friend, between Sunday, October 28th and Saturday, November 3rd. Use the Family Conference
Guide which will be given to you during the campaign.

2. Fill Out Your Commitment Card
Write down the amount of your commitment that you will be able to give as your initial offering. Then, using the giving chart on your commitment card, write down the amount you commit in faith to give during the next 24 months, November 2007 through October 2009. Also list any gift of assets that you are being led to give.

3. Bring your Card on Commitment Sunday, November 4th
As an act of worship, bring your commitment card on Commitment Sunday November 4th. If you cannot attend that day, please mail or bring your commitment card to the church office by Thursday, November 1st so that it can be included.

If you are giving a gift of service through your company, please contact us as soon as possible and prior to Thursday, November 1st so we can add your “gift-in-kind” to the total gifts made on Commitment Sunday.

 

The need for all of us to be involved becomes evident when we begin to think about what it will take to build a new building. This project is far too great for just a few families to undertake. We are going to need the commitment and support of every person in order to achieve the goal of continuing the dream and leaving a legacy for our children.
