Summer Job Opportunities for Students

Each year the bridge has employment opportunities for students to develop many skills that are relevant for ministry and the workplace. They allow you to develop some valuable skills for the future and, most of all, you’ll make an impact in others in a meaningful way.

CAMP COORDINATOR
  • Help coordinate and run summer camps by providing support and encouragement to kids, so that they have a positive and engaging experience. 
  • Help coordinate camp logistics and attend training. 
  • Assist in the creation of camp décor, as well as the set-up and tear-down of rooms and spaces. 
  • Help prepare for and participate in weekly Sunday programming for the children’s ministry, providing administrative and program support as required. E.g. preparation of curriculum/supplies, worship, teaching, check-in/check-out, set-up, etc.
  • Help with other Kidzone and church summer events as required. 
  • Provide administrative assistance and help ensure clean, organized and safe rooms and spaces for Kidzone as required.
  • Assist with the preparations required for the Fall 2025 ministry year.
  • This position requires in-person availability on some Sundays and must be able to work in person at the church during the week. 
OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
  • This position will report to the Office Co-ordinator and work closely with the Facilities Co-ordinator. 
  • Help provide administrative support by providing front-line assistance and customer service for the church, including reception/administrative services to those visiting and contacting the church. 
  • Provide administrative support and serve as a representative/host for the operations team at church events and rentals. 
  • Assist with basic AV and event set-up/tear-down for Sunday services, church events and ministry programs.
  • Help with office supplies and other church inventory management such as AV and IT.
  • Help maintain the database, updating contacts, groups, registration forms, room booking requests, etc. 
  • Assist with summer camps by providing administrative and program support as required. 
  • Work with the Facilities Co-ordinator to organize and help with inventory for building supplies and furniture as required. 
  • Assist with basic cleaning and upkeep of gardens as required (e.g. vacuuming, weeding, etc.).
YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR
  • Provide administrative, event and communication support to the youth ministry and its programs both in the summer, and in preparation for the Fall ministry year. This includes organizing files, updating database, calendarizing, event planning, room booking requests, registration forms, etc.
  • Help organize in-person events by creating registration forms, check-in for events, room booking requests, scheduling, etc.
  • Assist with Sunday mornings; this may include teaching, facilitating small groups, games, etc.
  • Participate in the summer camp at the church as a camp counsellor or other program support member. 
  • Assist with summer camp décor preparation, set-up and tear-down as required.
  • Help with the communication needs of the ministry, such as helping update the youth webpage, youth social media, youth ministry on the church app, general communication/promotion for youth programs and events, etc. 
  • Attend meetings and provide support for other youth related events/ministry programs as required.
  • Assist with other church summer events as required. 
  • This position requires in-person availability on some Sundays and must be able to work in person at the church during the week.
CONNECTIONS MINISTRY ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as record meeting minutes, update the database, create forms, and manage guest/volunteer communication.
  • Assist the Connections Pastor with the coordination of events for the Connections ministry and church-wide events; includes, but is not limited to event registrations, décor, set-up, tear-down, and follow-ups for events (e.g., Discover the bridge, Fall Kick-off, volunteer appreciation events, special Sunday events, etc.).
  • Assist with the maintaining and ordering Hub Café and Connections ministry supplies. 
  • Serve at the Connections Centre or Host areas as needed on Sundays.
  • Submit and track Communication Request Applications (CRAs) for events, classes, and groups.
  • Provide administrative support for online and in-person discipleship classes, including registrations.
  • Follow up with guests attending discipleship classes or groups and update database records accordingly.
  • Document processes and follow-ups to ensure consistency.
  • Provide hospitality support for Discover classes as needed.
  • Track and report metrics for Discipleship Pathway activities.
  • This position requires in-person availability on some Sundays and must be able to work in person at the church during the week.
